Russian President Vladimir Putin has advocated for the establishment of a more stable multipolar world order, attributing the current global security challenges to bloc confrontations and efforts by certain countries to secure unilateral advantages. His remarks were made during the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club.
Putin emphasized that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine should be resolved through compromise and negotiations, rather than the outright defeat of any side. He expressed Russia’s desire for Ukraine to maintain a neutral stance following the resolution of the conflict.
In his address, Putin argued that the previous unipolar international system is evolving into a multipolar framework, calling for increased cooperation that respects the interests of various nations. He stated that Russia is prepared to collaborate with other countries to develop a more stable international system.
In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat use of Ukraine’s FP-7 tactical ballistic missile, which has been domestically developed. While Zelenskyy did not specify the location or target of the missile’s deployment, he mentioned that Ukraine is moving towards production of the missile.
